Aesopica curated by Working Proof is opening this Friday at Rare Device in San Francisco!
From the show description:
Each artist in Aesopica chose a different fable to illustrate. Participating artists include Andrea D'Aquino, Samantha Hahn, Caitlin Keegan, Sol Linero, OSoo, Danna Ray, Amy Ruppel, Catherine Ryan, Lisa Solomon, Yasmine Surovec, Julianna Swaney, and Gretchen Wagoner.
Both original artwork and prints will be available, as well as a show catalog printed by Blurb. 15% of the gross proceeds from the show will be donated to the San Francisco chapter of 826 National, 826 Valencia. 826 National is a network of nine nonprofit organizations dedicated to helping students, ages 6-18, with expository and creative writing.
Rare Device is located at 1845 Market Street between Valencia and Guerrero Streets,
The opening reception is November 19 from 7-9pm

I'm trying to decide right now if I am going to go to SF for the opening, I'd love to but it depends if I feel like being in a car for 10 hours to get there. Hm...

ReplyDeleteI also say go. It's always wonderful to meet an artist in person and you never know what doors could open for you.
ReplyDeleteEven if they don't (and I'm sure they will) it could be nice to be on a little getaway, you will be in SF and are sure to have fun.
