Lille Show

A new Piece for my show "Dreams In The Daytime" at Lille in Portland (inspired by this photo)
If you don't know Lille it's a very classy high end lingerie boutique with a vintage feel.  I'm excited to have a little show in their gorgeous store!
The opening is Friday, May 4th, from 6-9pm, it's part of the Burnside First Friday art happenings.

I'll probably show you one more new piece before it opens but everything else that I've created new for it is secret until after the opening!

Other Worlds

I'm really not into video games at all but I appreciate them when they're beautifully designed and I sat totally enthralled while my boyfriend played Superbrothers: Sward & Sworcery EP last night. It has a dream like mystical feel and gorgeous music. I especially like that you are guided around by a dog. It's a beautiful game!

Boyfriend also has LIMBO which I've been interested in watching over his shoulder for while as well. It's another gorgeous and eery looking game:

Weekend Bits No.2

I've mostly been staying in the past few weekends, what with working, Easter, and then this weekend not feeling too well, but that's okay, my balcony is starting to actually get a little sun!

Recent acquisitions: More new tea and the new Kinfolk. The teas are Royal Tea with Caramel from the Russian store, and something I bought on impulse at my neighborhood fancy foods store, Jaipur Avenue chai mix. It is cardamom flavor so how could I pass it up? Yum. (I see on their website they also have Saffron flavor!)

Over easter I made puffed pancakes from this recipe, and they turned out pretty amazing.



A few rainy weekends ago at the Chinese Garden I spied the most amazing fish disappearing mysteriously into the cave!

Other Work

I thought I'd share some drawings that I did unrelated to a show. I'm glad I have them now because I just got unexpectedly invited to do a show here in town at Lille Boutique in May. It's short notice but I'm happy to be able to keep the momentum of doing work for a show going, especially since I also have a show in June. If I have too long of a break between I procrastinate and over think, never good.

Tilde Show Opens Tonight!

Here is another piece to tempt you out to the opening tonight if you live in Portland! I will be there, there will be sushi and wine, also these cookies.
Tilde is located at 7919 SE 13th Ave Portland, OR 97202. The opening goes from 6-9pm!

The Ghost Show

Along with my show opening at Tilde on Friday I also have a couple pieces in The Ghost Show at Pony Club, also in Portland. They always put together fun shows so if you're in the area I hope you can come see! If you can't the pieces will eventually be for sale online (I'll post about it when those are available).
The opening is this Thursday, April 5th, 6-ish to 9-ish?
